Originally from Indonesia, I recently moved to Port Townsend with my wife, Ali, and son, Forrest. My commercial work ranges from natural science illustration to album art for heavy metal bands.
My pieces are inspired by the surrealist movement and the art of Dan Seagrave, Ed Repka and HR Giger. Through my artwork, I hope to provoke thought on environmental and social justice, increasing awareness and opening dialogue. For me, raising a multicultural child highlights the importance of these topics. Forrest also reminds me to never stop being silly. Although many of the pieces deal with weighty topics, there is a humorous or light aspect in each of them too. I hope it inspires you to think and smile.
